Spectrum is a calming tisane, that has been designed to help support the body and provide gentle regulation from day one to 28 across the feminine cycle. It is calming, stabilising, restorative, mineral rich and nourishing. It helps to ease stress related tension that often accompanies hormonal fluctuations. Perfect for times of transition, fatigue, sensitivity, or cyclical imbalance.
Ingredients: Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis), Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), Nettle (Urtica dioica) and Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus).
How to use:
Place 1 to 2gr (about one teaspoon) of tea in a cup, or 4 to 5gr (two teaspoons) in a teapot, fill with boiled water and cover the top of the cup with a saucer (or place the lid on the teapot) to capture all of the volatile oils. Steep for 15 to 30 minutes then enjoy. Alternatively you may steep overnight and enjoy cold (or reheated) the following day, this will ensure you not only consume all of the beneficial volatile oils, but also a raft of wonderful vitamins and minerals.
Note: It is more about the importance of steeping the plants effectively, than how much of them you use.
Flavor Profile:
A comforting, quiet, contemplative tisane blend, that brings a softly balanced intensity:
• citrus brightness – Lemon Balm
• aromatic bitterness - Mugwort
• green and earthy - Nettle
• soft tannic earthiness – Raspberry Leaf
A bit about each of the healing herbs used in this tisane blend:
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)
Lemon balm is a cherished calming nervine herb that helps to reduce stress and provide support to the nervous system lifting your overall mood. It also provides digestive relaxation (especially stress-related tension) and supports restful sleep without sedation. Modern research also suggests it may support cognitive calm and gentle mood balance.
Energetically: It is bright, lemony, and soothing, calming without dulling. Historically, lemon balm has also been associated with “gladdening the heart” due to its ability to bring a sense of emotional lightness and gentle optimism. In this blend it also helps soften the deeper and more mysterious qualities of Mugwort while keeping the blend comforting.
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)
Mugwort has one of the longest and most folkloric histories of any European medicinal herb. It provides digestive support due to its bitter earthy nature, nervous system regulation, along with menstrual and cyclical support. It is also used for dream enhancement and vivid dreaming, while being both grounding and protective.
Energetically: Mugwort has a distinctive presence, earthy, aromatic, slightly bitter, and psychologically evocative. In many traditions it’s linked with intuition, dreams, thresholds, and altered states of awareness. Even in small amounts, it can give a blend a reflective, inward-turning quality. Because of its bitterness and potency, it is important to balance it with other gentler herbs such as Lemon Balm and Raspberry Leaf.
Note: Mugwort is generally avoided during pregnancy because of its traditional uterine-stimulating associations.
Nettle (Urtica dioica)
Nettle is one of the classic nutritive tonic herbs in herbalism. It provides mineral replenishment (especially iron, magnesium, calcium), general nourishment and restoration, supports energy and vitality, while also providing kidney and urinary support and seasonal allergy support.
Energetically: Nettle feels strengthening, green, and deeply nourishing. It’s often used for people recovering from stress, illness, exhaustion, or nutritional depletion. Its green, grounding quality complements both the emotional softness of Lemon Balm and the dreamier aspects of Mugwort.
Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus)
Raspberry leaf is one of the classic uterine and reproductive tonic herbs in herbalism. It provide menstrual support, uterine tone, digestive comfort and mineral nourishment. Furthermore, it is also used for pregnancy and postpartum support.
Energetically: Raspberry leaf feels steadying, strengthening, and quietly supportive. It’s often viewed less as a dramatic medicinal herb and more as a long-term nourishing ally. In this blend, it reinforces the restorative and cyclical qualities.
